Also prison ships are not being ruled out.

I'm not politicizing it, the current leaders of the UK aren't handling this situation very well.

I'd say the same if it were Labour, we've got a Pandemic going on and we decide to release Prisoners into the population? That's reckless imo, no matter which Party is coming up with the idea.

Oh c'mon now the government are being advised what to do as would Corbyn be if he had been elected,do you want our government to go against all the advice as a few armchair critics think they know better,they are doing what they can,good Lord, They cant do right from being wrong from some people.

I'm a labour supporter but I think the Government are doing their best through this crisis and Boris is doing a good job.

How do you know that ? you don't, no one does, there isn't a simple solution to this and just because you don't like the Tories doesn't make everything they do wrong, they are following guidelines, IF this was a wrong thing to do they would be told, For me personally I would let them all get on with it but then the government would be accused of not caring :shrug:

Nice to see an unbiased opinion Kate,its quite rare :hee: I think they are doing what they have to , not everyone will like it or agree,but no one is sure yet of this virus so we have to be sensible and its not really about politics for me,just common sense, I don't agree with some things,but I know they have all the facts ,we don't.

This is a bad decision regardless of who made it , but all I'm saying is I doubt Corbyn would of done this.

I agree up to a point,but if its just people who are there due to none payments of fines etc, they probably shouldn't be there in the first place.

I don't understand the logic, the virus is supposed to be contained. Why don't we all go out then drinking etc seen its ok for infected prisoners too .

If prisoners are locked up for a short term for minor misdemeanours then I agree with letting them out.
Keeping so many people gathered together like that could bring about so many deaths.

I think they're handling it as well as can be expected. We have had nothing like this before that people can call on for experience. 100 years ago there was a flu pandemic, but society is very different now, and there are far more people. Every time I see a Labour politician on TV they're making sly, point-scoring digs at the government, like it goes without saying that they would do better. Well, anyone who's not in charge can claim they could do better.

But if labour were in charge, then the Tories would be point scoring & blaming them anyway .

The last few they released early were terrorists who went onto slaughter innocent members of the public

If they do early release the non dangerous inmates .... then my generous side says they should be put to work on the menial , non skilled jobs that will be left unattended by virus.

Early release means they are free, not slaves.

Why not? She was released with a large cohort of other prisoners due to the virus ....I doubt they will be releasing lifers

she's got an ankle tag and can't go beyond her parents home.
