Wishing you a wonderful day Kate! And Vanessa…

…in your Liverpool meet up today…I know that you have a fabulous day planned with some exciting visits and TiBB meet ups are always so special, I think….

…have the best time together……

Kate! 30-10-2024 06:50 AM

I've just been to the co op to get a newspaper and pain au chocolat for our breakfast. Drew some money out at the cashpoint. So exciting, can't wait to see Ness.

All packed, got some very glam glittery black trousers for the theatre tonight. Bling bling!

Ammi 30-10-2024 06:57 AM

…it’s almost too much sparkle/sparkle overload to pack into a day so your trousers are filled with it as well..

Vanessa 30-10-2024 07:29 AM

Thank you. I'm on the tube now.

Kate! 30-10-2024 11:56 AM

I'm 10 minutes away from Liverpool Lime Street. Vanessa won't be far behind me. I'm so excited to see her.

Vanessa 30-10-2024 11:59 AM

I think I may have taken the wrong train D:
It's definitely going to Liverpool lime Street.
But I'm not sure how many different trains go there :bawling:

How is it wrong if it's definitely going to where you're meeting Kate?

Yeah we are just pulling into the station now.

Ammi 30-10-2024 01:32 PM

……are you united now…?…

Kate! 30-10-2024 01:32 PM

So there's half an hour till we can check in to the hotel. We've located it. It's not far from the Albert Dock, which is where we are right now. Weather is great, it's very mild. The city centre is packed, goodness knows what it's like on a weekend.

Kate! 30-10-2024 02:43 PM

Really very happy with the hotel. It's in an excellent location and the room is spacious and spotlessly clean.

Kate! 30-10-2024 02:47 PM

Just off to the restaurant now. An Italian.

Cherie 30-10-2024 02:54 PM

Have a wonderful time ladies

I'm not sure, it should be on one of the main drags though.

You know those people who dress up as statues and remain froze all day maybe doing a little act if someone puts money in their hat. .well it's the exact opposite of one of those..looks really wierd, bit very impressive.

Parm have you been on the cooking sherry? We've tried googling to find this mysterious statue and can't find anything at all?

Vanessa 30-10-2024 05:00 PM

There are quite a lot of statues in town. We'll have a better look tomorrow. Now it's dark already.

I recommend the Cathedral, one of the biggest in the world and they serve a great roast dinner.

ThomasC 30-10-2024 05:41 PM

Ammi 30-10-2024 05:46 PM

Farewell Martha, you have been evicted. It came as no surprise.

Ammi 31-10-2024 05:14 AM

@Ammi good morning Ammi and all. We are both awake. Planning a lovely cooked breakfast at Wetherspoons. It's called The King Alexander or something like that. Near the docks. Just gonna pop down to reception in a few minutes to see if they can supply me with 2 paracetamol. Banging head! Lol.

Oh Ammi yes it was that one by the Schitts Creek team. So much good music packed into 2 and a half hours. Matt Cardle...well I fell in love with him all over again. He can sing AND act! Who knew. @Kazanne. And Dr Ranj who played Lance was out of this world. I have no words to express my sheer amazement. He's a comedic genius and his voice, just wow! I clapped extra loud for him.

In life there are standout moments and memories that'll be with you forever. Last night is etched on my heart. I was even a bit tearful when the curtain went down, but with joy and happiness. To share it with Ness was the icing on the cake. She loved it too. It's so hard to believe our tickets were only £13 each and we were up in the circle so.had an excellent view.

We travel home mid afternoon, Vanessa's train is at 2.33pm and mine shortly after that. We'll pack as much in these few hours as we can. A truly wonderful experience from start to finish.

Thanks so much to everyone who posted in.this thread wishing us a good time and giving suggestions of what to try and see.

Vanessa 31-10-2024 08:10 AM

We're going to look for the many Liverpool statues

Kate! 31-10-2024 09:14 AM

We just had breakfast in Wetherspoons @MTVN

Gorgeous. I had full English with toast. Perfectly cooked and very quick service. Plus a pint of pepsi. Vanessa had bottomless coffee. Set up for the day now.

I've had the most amazing time in Liverpool. Great to see Kate, who I consider a very very good friend.
The town is just as beautiful as I remember.
We saw the Cathedral and went to see the statues. I
Of course we had a drink at the Cavern before we left.
That's a really special place for all music lovers.

…awwww, that’s so lovely to read, that sharing this time has brought strength and strength to the friendship……did you see the Cilla statue, is it outside the Cavern…?…
