Why are girls jealous of Noirin?
 

Noirin flirts yes, but she's completely natural. She's pretty but not exciting. As a matter of fact, women all around the world are in her situation, so how can you blame her for her 'followers'. She hasn't made a move, nor had sex (Sophie). On the other hand Marcus has a bad temper. He treats women like objects. Remember when he signalled to Michelle to pull her top down or when he put his hand on Noirin's flangita.

Where's the respect for each other, women? Why is it okay for men to get away with calling you sluts and *****s from TV shows like this. I sure as hell wouldn't want my son watching this, getting the idea that if women flirt they're sluts, if men flirt they're players.

She is strong, confident and independent. A lot of men don't like those qualities in women because it makes them a threat - in many ways - including - breaking the male double- standard rules about how they say women should behave - hence name-calling!!

Don't get me wrong - I don't particularly like her - and I certainly don't like her treatment of Siavash - but that sort of double-standard name-calling affects all women and we can't just sit back and let men get away with it.

Also - men ALWAYS accuse women of being jealous if they don't like an attractive women - ie. Sophie - I responded to one such post by some bloke yesterday.

Ok...so basically, there are no valid reasons for disliking Noirin then?

Noirin is a very sexual female. But with zero personality. She's just not that bright. Or witty. Josie Long is much more girlfriend material.

Not saying that - actually said in my response that I didn't particularly like her - she is attention seeking - just like Marcus - and just like most of the other hm's.

Its also obvious the fact that girls on BB don't fare as well as men.

Women need respect for each other - if it was visa versa and Marcus was in Noirin's position she'd be in a lose-lose situation anyway.

It's not equal, and I for one who am a male don't feel its fair. Noirin isn't attractive so no, I'm not making this thread because I'm in love with Noirin.

Not talking about looks here - we're talking about jealousy when women attract lots of men and get the blame - maybe from Australia it's different though as women and men seem fairly equal, but when I watch the UK version I know what to expect each time women are in the position Noirin is in now.

She should have told each guy point blank that she was not interested...not lead them on first and then decided to tell them.

Siavash is the one i feel sorry for...though he is at fault also for cheating on his girlfriend.

Kate was a pretty girl, and she had a thing with spencer, who was very popular and a lot of girls fancied him, yet she went on to win the show, so the theory that girls are jealous is a bit flawed...

It is flawed - always has been. I don't think its jealousy - I think it is that many women have been sub-consciously brainwashed by men's double-standards.

Men like to flirt and to sleep around and see no harm in that. But when women do it - they don't like it - and try to stop them doing it by name-calling!!

It has been going on for centuries - not as bad as it was - but many men still do it!!

As a result - many women seem to end up believing it themselves! Have never understood that!!

That makes a lot more sense than the usual 'jealousy' arguement.

My dislike for Noirin is not based within jealousy, I dislike Marcus too. In truth - I dislike the entire situation. This needless desire to flirt, kiss, hug, then move on (including the actions of Marcus, may I add) - trivialises everything.

Why can't they just be friends? ... Now you might argue that that is all Noirin wants, but she's made it clear she only wants to be friends when it doesn't suit her. See the argument between Noirin and Siavash a few weeks back, Noirin said to Marcus... (adlib) "Why do you stick up for your friend, you should be sticking up for ME!" - she may not see herself in a relationship with him, of course, but at that stage she pitched herself slightly higher than just a friend.

As well as Marcus and Noirin, I also dislike Siavash for going along with all of this, despite a) Having a gf on the outside, and b) Being friends with Marcus.

So no, not everyones dislike for Noirin is jealousy - for proof look at the posters, a lot of them who dislike her are male.
