Best Bookies Odds Available as of This Morning

Alex - 2/5 fave
Dane - 11/2
Vinnie - 13/2
Jonas - 25/1
Steph - 33/1

The gambling community seem to see Alex as a massively strong favourie, with only Dane and Vinnie even in the frame.

Niamh. 29-01-2010 09:03 AM

How do they decide that he's so much ahead?

It's simply the effect of demand and supply. If a lot of people want to bet Alex, then his odds shorten (bookies offer punters a less favourable price as they can still attract custom)

The reverse is true too - if few people think Jonas can win then the bookies have to offer more favourable odds to entice customers to bet.

Oh right, yeah that makes sense, Is there any chance of them being wrong then do you think?

oddschecker prices as follows
Alex in to 1-3 (looking good)
Dane drifting like a turd on Blackpool beach 11-2
Vinnie well out to 13-2(was 5-1 last night)
Anus 20-1(was 14-1 last night)
Steph 33-1 (was 25-1 last night)

YES - punters are historically very bad at predicting the winner. Unlke evictions which are an 'at the moment' thing, the process of winning a longer-term thing.

Its an open book. Anyone but Jonas can win. 33/1 are brilliant odds (for getting money, not the actual figure) and it wouldn't be wasting a few quid.

Janus and Stephanie have more chance of finding Shergar than winning ,the only people who could do it are Alex,Dane or Vinnie, but Vinnie isnt looking good

You could have had 50/1 on her last night on Betfair.......so maybe your fave is moving in the right direction! (I'd still save my stake money for a bottle of wine to watch it on TV tho if I was you!) :wavey:

At his price, it's maybe a clever long-shot. He's still well represented on the polls - good luck anyway
