Deary me...

Don't know the full details of what happened, as I wasn't around...but as usual, rumours go round and things get blown out of proportion.

Basically, earlier today, two boys in my year (that I know) were messing about in a Tech lesson throwing things at each other (at least that's how I understand it), and things got out of hand and the boy I know better than the other picked up a metal file (I think) and threw it at the other boy. It pierced his stomach and (apparently) he pulled it out and blood went everywhere. They called the police, the boy who threw it was arrested and obviously the injured guy was taken to hospital.

This is an article from the local radio station, and I have blocked out the name of the school for obvious reasons.

Anyway, people in my school seem to blowing this out of proportion, if that article is true. And there's loads of posts on Facebook saying 'sick! he should be behind bars!!!11'. I mean, seriously...WTF? Overreaction much? As far as I'm concerned, you just don't throw things around in a Tech classroom at all. Stupid kids.

What do you think? I just wanted some opinions :p

is he fit?

Injuries can happen so easily, I think the fright of it happening would be enough punishment if it was really an accident. At least the injured one seems not to be in too much danger, that is what matters tbh.

LOL Shaun, I personally don't think they are. :p

Oh, and some of these rumours going round include 'he ran out laughing after he threw it' and that the guy who got injured was winding the other guy up.

Just goes to show, get up, go to school, nice and cheerful little do you know in a matter of hours you'll be injured or sitting in a Police Station.

However, it is being blown out of porportion.
Im sure it was a accident, I know guys in my class that do that sort of **** in Tech, the worst thats basically happened was someone got his arm burnt badly but yeah this article is worst but still nothing to be put behind bars for.

It was obviously a accident.
Im sure the two lads are like best friends.

LOL. I remember when I was at school, was in geography and art rooms were next door, was a massive scream...turned out some guy had gone to sit down and his mate had stood a pencil on his chair(and held it obvs...) and the pencil went straight through his buttock...he had to go to hospital with a pencil sticking out of his ass...needless to say we all found it quite hilarious (looking back its not so funny, he could have been seriously hurt). Next day the local paper had a hold of the story somehow and insisted it was a 'premeditated' attack by bullies who constantly picked on this guy, they were best mates
