ORGY GEORGIE?
BIG BROTHER JUST GOT NASTY Sparks fly as Galloway leads bitching against flirty Marsh
By Donna Watson
10 January 2006
BIG Brother celebrities have begun the bitching - with George Galloway and glamour model Jodie Marsh falling out first.
Jodie branded the MP "vile" and "a bitter old man" in a diary room rant.
It followed a day of sniping between Galloway and 1980s pop star Pete Burns about the party girl - with the MP moaning to Big Brother about tales of her sexual exploits.
He complained about Jodie's "extraordinary stories at the breakfast table, which involve every orifice and every fluid known to man".
And as the younger celebrities later discussed their sexual conquests, Jodie shouted to the MP: "Up for an orgy, George?"
Galloway didn't respond - but Pete kept up the catty swipes He bitched: "You can take the ***** to culture but you can't make her think."
He later branded her "a complete imbecile" with the "mental capacity of a nine-year-old".
But the model was backed up by Ordinary Boys singer Preston, who told Pete that Jodie may have more intelligence than they are giving her credit for.
However, it appears more of the older housemates are getting fed up with the Essex girl after spending hours comforting Jodie over her fears that she's hated by the public.
Rula Lenska hit out at her attitude, saying: "If you put out negative all the time, then you will get negative back. She perpetuates it."
But Jodie showed a sensitive side as she revealed she was desperate for a cuddle.
The glamour girl has flirted with 1 Dennis Rodman and admitted to a crush on Preston.
But she complained to Chantelle: "I just want them to bring a fit bloke in here.
"The reason I'd want one really is because I'm always surrounded by men - my boy mates - and we're always cuddling. I miss that. I don't feel there's anyone in here that I can cuddle up with."
Chantelle suggested: "Dennis will cuddle you."
Jodie told her: "Yeah, but that's different. When he cuddles, he's just perving."
But yesterday it was revealed that Jodie may have hidden reasons for her emotional outbursts.
Her parents revealed that yesterday was the third anniversary of her best friend's death.
Kim Banyard was strangled and battered with a hammer on her 22nd birthday by her 21-year-old painter and decorator boyfriend Jonathan Dore, who was later jailed for life in November 2003.
Mum Kristina told GMTV: "She is going through a bit of a traumatic time.
"Kim was murdered three years ago and it always affects Jodie so today I think she will be quite emotional and quite tearful."
Dad John added: "She's very emotional and stressed at the moment but after today I think, hopefully, she will start to get back to her normal self.
"We have enjoyed watching most of it so far and hopefully after today she will start to come into her own."

AT HOME WITH THE 10TH RATE
Christopher Hitchens
10 January 2006
THERE'S been a lot of pomposity and hypocrisy about George Galloway's decision to take a hand in the grand human wager known as Celebrity Big Brother.
I have read official Labour harrumphings about a betrayal of constituents in Bethnal Green and Bow. Which voter in Galloway's constituency was unaware he is, and always has been, a limelight-seeker and show-off?
George would like to be considered an addition to the gaiety of nations and the public stock of harmless pleasure.
It is quite right he should share billing with Maggot, with Sven Eriksson's ex, with Michael Barrymore and with "glamour girl" Jodie Marsh. He belongs in such an assembly of the talent-free and tenth-rate.
A public that voted for Galloway's blustering and evasive tirade before the US Senate as "favourite moment" of 2004 is entitled to have such people in its face.
Ah, but how fickle is the crowd which he seeks to please! Boos, jeers and unkind remarks have been his lot, ever since he took the Big Brother plunge.
I'm fascinated by those who are strangers to the idea of embarrassment: They have no idea of how they appear to others, or any concept of how others might feel.
That's often why they have so many different careers, simply moving on from one job or one office to another, never glancing back at the unbalanced books and unkept promises they left behind.
I notice that Galloway has said he'll donate his fee to a charity that helps hard-pressed Palestinians. Has anyone asked lately what happened to poor Mariam, the gravely sick Iraqi girl? The last I read, she was sicker than ever and her family in Baghdad asking to know what had happened to her once-generous "Big Brother".
And yet I have heard people saying his decision to make a fool of himself on Channel 4 is the worst thing he has ever done.

The unpainted lady
By NICOLE LAMPERT
10 January 2006
It takes nearly an hour every morning to create the face she wants to be seen in. First Jodie Marsh fills in her eyebrows and outlines her eyes.
Then there is eyeshadow to be caked on and endless layers of mascara. Foundation, bronzer, blusher and concealer colour in her complexion. Her mouth doubles in size thanks to a lurid pink lipstick.
But a glimpse at Miss Marsh without the usual bucket of make up shows she might actually be better going without. But it was only a glimpse. She makes sure to trowel on her favourite products within moments of waking.
The 27-year-old Essex girl who made her name as a pin-up is making big efforts with her appearance while in the Celebrity Big Brother house. But her painstaking beauty routine has had little effect on her male housemates.
So far they seem to prefer Paris Hilton-lookalike Chantelle Houghton, Baywatch actress Traci Bingham and even the more mature Rula Lenska. After stripping down to her underwear with no apparent effect at the weekend, Miss Marsh decided to become a little more outrageous.
"I've had orgies before" she boasted on last night's programme on Channel Four. "Five of us. Best night of my life."
She then explained that she would like to sleep with Pamela Anderson "as she's the most beautiful woman in the world". When that failed to attract any interest from the men, she decided to enlist the help of Miss Houghton, the only person in the house with not even a tenuous claim to fame.
Holding her hand, Miss Marsh grabbed Preston from the band the Ordinary Boys and told him: "The three of us should just snog". Later, she jumped on Maggot from the band Goldie Lookin' Chain and pushed her cleavage in his face. He seemed unimpressed, protesting: "I can't breathe."
At the end of the night Maggot found a hopeful Miss Marsh and Miss Houghton in his bed. He dragged them both out.

10 January 2006
George Galloway, Pete Burns and Jodie Marsh were today nominated for eviction from the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The housemates were given a surprise 8am wake-up call to hear the news.
Glamour girl Marsh took it badly, sobbing: “I expected it in a way but I’m still so shocked.”
She said: “The one thing I didn’t want was to be first out or even first nominated. It’s hideous.”
Burns did not comment and Respect MP Galloway shrugged: “I’m going back to bed.”

Blair joins criticism of big brother Galloway
10 January 2006
Tony Blair has joined the growing criticism of George Galloway, the Respect MP for Bethnal Green and Bow, over his decision to take part in TV show Celebrity Big Brother.
The Prime Minister indicated he would not be happy if a Labour MP had taken a similar decision to join the series.
Asked on GMTV "Would you fancy one of your MPs doing that?", Mr Blair replied: "No."
He said he had been too busy to watch the anti-war MP, whose surprise entrance into the Big Brother house on January 5 boosted ratings for the hit show.
Mr Galloway said his participation would be "good for politics" and he believed that politicians should use "every opportunity" to communicate with people.
But local residents in his Bethnal Green and Bow constituency have staged a protest outside his office in east London accusing him of abandoning his responsibilities and demanding he give back his MP's pay for the time he is in the house.
An internet protest campaign - Get Back To Work, George - is calculating how much it costs taxpayers each day Mr Galloway stays inside the house. At 9am today it stood at £754.
Jim Fitzpatrick, Labour Minister for London, has also joined in the attacks, accusing the anti-war MP of being a "C-list politician with an A-list ego".
On Thursday there will be a Commons debate on the £500 million Crossrail transport link which will affect the Bethnal Green and Bow constituency.

Stars reap benefit of Big Brother effect
10 January 2006
It seems appearing on a reality show has proved a positive experience for some of those trapped in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The contestants, who include rapper Maggot from Newport's Goldie Lookin' Chain, Sam Preston of The Ordinary Boys and singer Pete Burns, have all have seen there sales rise since entering the house.
Preston's band The Ordinary Boys were virtually unheard of before he entered the house but sales of their album Brassbound have rocketed over the past week.
HMV's online store HMV.co.uk reports sales up tenfold.
The 'best of' collection by Pete Burns' group Dead Or Alive has trebled in sales while the second album by Goldie Lookin' Chain has seen a fourfold increase.

DAVINA: MY DRINKING BAN TO AVOID DRUGS
By Fiona Cummins Showbiz Reporter
10 January 2006
DAVINA McCall has revealed she no longer drinks alcohol for fear it will tempt her back into drug use.
The Big Brother presenter, who took cocaine, ecstasy and heroin in her early 20s, admitted drugs turn her into a "manipulative, untrustworthy person".
She told Heat magazine: "If I were to get drunk and someone went 'Do you want a line?' I can't guarantee I would have the wherewithal to say 'no'.
"In the summer, I'm like, 'Please, please I'm desperate for a chilled rose, or in the winter a mulled wine'.
"My husband is really into his wine and the whole ceremony of decanting it - but I just know I can't do it." The 38-year-old mum-of-two also claimed she would become jealous if someone else was offered the chance to host Big Brother.
She said: "If someone else did BB, I'd sit at home being a horrible spiteful old Baby Jane. I don't know what it is about Big Brother but I love it. I just don't get bored with it.
"I'm praying that they'll ask me to do next summer's."

'Shocked' Jodie favourite for BB boot
10 January 2006
odie Marsh is favourite to be evicted from Celebrity Big Brother after bagging eight nominations from her fellow housemates.
George Galloway and former pop star Pete Burns also face the public vote on Friday night after receiving four votes each.
Big Brother gave the housemates an 8am wake-up call to deliver the news.
Glamour girl Marsh took it badly, sobbing: “I expected it in a way but I’m still so shocked.”
She added: “The one thing I didn’t want was to be first out or even first nominated. It’s hideous.”
Marsh is a near certainty to get the boot on Friday, according to the bookmakers.
The glamour model is 1-3 to get ousted this week, with Galloway on 2-1 and Burns the 8-1 outsider.
Ladbrokes spokesman David Williams said: “The writing is on the wall.”
Marsh has made enemies of Galloway, Burns and shamed entertainer Michael Barrymore.
In the Diary Room, Galloway gave his reasons for nominating her: “She’s a very troublesome element and a very troublesome person.
“She neither cooks nor cleans … she’s sexually obsessed of the crudest variety.”
Burns said: “She seems like a loose cannon, a very damaged girl. I wouldn’t p*** on her if she burst into flames.”
Marsh has accused Galloway of being a “bully”.
The Respect MP also faced criticism from Tony Blair today over his decision to appear on the Channel 4 reality show.
Asked on GMTV: “Would you fancy one of your MPs doing that?”, the British Prime Minister replied: “No.”
And bookies are offering odds of 2/5 that Galloway will lose his parliamentary seat at the next general election in the UK.
The MP has enraged some voters in his east London constituency of Bethnal Green and Bow by abandoning his duties to enter the Big Brother house.
Paul Petrie of Totesport said: “This adventure has done George Galloway no good at all and it will definitely count against him when he is next up for election.”
Meanwhile, Faria Alam is being forced to eat a wheelbarrow-full of spinach for the latest task.
The housemates are taking part in a scientific experiment under the instructions of lab assistant Galloway.
Their first experiment was to test if spinach makes you stronger.
Unlucky Alam, the former FA secretary, was told she had to eat spinach every 15 minutes while wheeling the vegetable around in a barrow.
Another experiment tested whether or not classical music makes you brainy.
Traci Bingham and Jodie had to complete an IQ test while listening to it.
The Ordinary Boys singer Preston is now 2/1 favourite to win the show, toppling Barrymore.
Appearing on the show has also boosted the fortunes of his band – sales of their album Brassbound have risen tenfold since he entered the house, according to HMV’s online music store.
