Not very open-minded about the creation of the universe, eh?
He's entitled to his creationist views but going "EH-ERRRRR!" everytime someone tried to discuss a less George W Bush style theory to how the universe came into being doesn't make me want him to win.
I've respected the fact that he hasn't been too OTT with his religious opinions during his time in the house but not letting anyone else talk about that particular subject makes me wonder how extreme he may be. So if you want to stop Josie from winning, as I know many do, maybe voting for someone else other than Dave would be sensible. If you care... |
He is the kind of person that makes Dawkins and Hitchins look like Gods.

I find Christians a little bit shouty-downy about the creationist/evolutionist question. Amazing really, in the face of so much scientific evidence.

People are closed minded if they don't share Dave's beliefs, and they are just plain wrong if he dosent share theirs.
I thought we all knew this by now ;) |

Even if he's stubborn/ignorant/misguided enough to stick to the 'pure creationism' belief, I find the lack of tolerance off-putting. Isn't understanding of others meant to be at the key of Christianity?

Atheist: Who designed the designer?
Theist: God is was and always will be! Atheist: Erm, yeah ok :joker: |

Dave will tolerate you, as he tolerates gays, in order to save you. Whether you like it or not. |

Agreed. I thought this too.

He dosent hate the person for being gay, but he sees the act as against his god and as a sin that they can be redeemed from and bought back into the light. |

The conversation they had this afternoon, when JJ pointed out that Dave is brainwashing his daughter worries me even more now, knowing he is in denial of the evolution
|
Its all quite funny reading all your posts slamming someone for not believing what you believe in , quite ironic really , be careful peeps , this is how Fascism started !

It amazes me how so many people believe in the Gnostic creation myth called 'evolutionism' and especially in the 21st century in light of so much overwhelming scientific enlightenment,
but, It does show the astonishing power of BBC evolutionist propaganda and what happens when school children are raised with no other options, but having said that: Even though more and more people are rejecting the 'theory of evolution' and many surveys showing 'Creationism' on the rise in the UK, Poland, USA etc, still, even still I don't think anyone ought to 'shout down' those who still believe that there was some sort of great grandmother bowl of inorganic soup that mated with a shaft of lightning which turned into hawks, worms, grass, T-Rex, giraffes etc. It is quite common. yes, of course belief in this evolution myth led to slavery, racism, mass murder etc, but, that is not what the average believer agrees to anymore. David should just be cool and thankful he knows better. |

He was such a bellend when he was like 'Shush, No Shush' to JJ when he said about evolution.
Who the ****** does he think he is? I for one agree with JJ. Evolution is far more true than ******ing God and Adam and Eve. |

Josie was arguing with him about that topic as well |
I only came here to read ElProximo's inevitable convoluted mess criticizing evolution. It was worth it
