Should George Michael be jailed?

He's gone into rehab to mitigate his sentence for crashing into a shop stoned.

M X 29-08-2010 11:57 PM

I don't see why not. Anybody else would be, without question.

arista 30-08-2010 07:48 AM

Remove his right to Drive
Forever.

He did not Kill anyone

BB_Eye 30-08-2010 04:53 PM

Lol, rehab for cannabis? Please.

Grimnir 30-08-2010 10:36 PM

Criminals should go to jail. He is a criminal.

AfroMullet 31-08-2010 01:43 AM

No, it will be like Butlins for him (Pun intended).

But nah he shouldnt, and he doesnt need to go to rehab either.

Points on his license would do, legalise herb.

Remind me of that part of the law that states cannabis users should go to jail. Seriously. :conf:

As for rehab, don't they have more urgent matters (heroin addicts, crack users, etc) to attend to?

Omen 31-08-2010 02:44 PM

So he should't go to rehab and he shouldn't go to jail. I see.

Sunday 31-08-2010 02:45 PM

No, He should be made to come back to Plymouth to play again:joker:. He was fab.

Vicky. 31-08-2010 02:49 PM

Yeah he should be. Anyone else would be.

BB_Eye 31-08-2010 03:04 PM

Sorry, just been doing a bit of googling as I didn't play much attention to this story.

If he was driving under the influence, then yeah, he should have been jailed or at least been given a hefty fine.

Omen 31-08-2010 03:06 PM

He's to be sentenced on the 18th next. It's not the first time he's been stoned at the wheel and caught. His going into rehab is a ploy to get off lightly.

Beastie 22-09-2010 06:41 PM

You do the crime, you do the time! No matter who you are.

Is he out of jail yet? lol

Stoned at the wheel of his car is as bad as being drunk. What if he had killed or maimed someone - should he just get fined for that too?

It's a ludicrously lenient sentence considering what the consequences could have been. Instead of whinging about it, he should consider himself lucky to have got off so lightly, and that all he crashed into was a shop window.
