probably forgot a few but those are some of my favourites

Mortal Kombat. Loved the random violence and mythology of it.

Scorpion, Sub Zero and Sonya Blade :love:

Tekken where you had that dude with a cheetah for a head and that man that ran up peoples torsos

Street Fighter. Loved it

Street Fighter on the SNES :love:

Yar Kung Fu on the Spectrum was an ace game, and Mortal Kombat when it first came out on the amiga, the fuss it caused because it had blood and slightly gruesome imagery, seems laughable now.

Virtua Fighter, it's not even close.

Technically Beat Em Ups and fighting games are different beasts :tongue:. My favourite beat 'em up is without a doubt Streets of Rage but my favourite fighting game is a toss up between Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter & Tekken. I do love Soul Calibur & DOA too though.
