Man given two-year prison sentence for spiking yoghurt with semen
 

A man has been sentenced to two years in prison for allegedly handing out a semen-laced yoghurt sample.

Anthony Garcia received his sentence on Thursday (March 1), having pleaded guilty last October to contaminating the treat at the Albuquerque Sunflower Market in January 2011.

The 32-year-old, who was branded "sickening and appalling" by prosecutors, admitted to placing some of his semen on a plastic spoon, dipping it in the yoghurt pot and handing it to a female customer.

According to The AP, the woman told police that she tasted the irregularity immediately.

She claimed that she spat on the floor several times and had to wipe her mouth on her clothes in order to get rid of the taste.

Garcia had been facing up to three years in prison.

Am I the only one that thinks two years is a bit excessive?

Two weeks, two months maybe, but two years just seems over the top. He didn't rape her. Pretty sure there's worse crimes in existence that need these sort of sentences, not this...

Disgusting, I feel sorry for his victim how horrified she must be. His sentence should have been a few years higher at least.

He'll probably be out in a year with good behaviour. I dont think its too harsh though, he wont be quick to do it again and its a clear warning for other sickos.

Think about the type of person you'd have to be to do something like this, what would have to be going through you head. And it obviously wasn't a spur of the moment thing. Two years is fair.

No, I'm kidding...but seriously, yeah it's sick and I'd want them punished (probably to taste it himself), but two years is one ridiculous overreaction. As I said, there's far worse crimes out there that are worthy of a two year sentence, not tasting some jizz when you didn't want to.
