A man has been sentenced to two years in prison for allegedly handing out a semen-laced yoghurt sample.

Anthony Garcia received his sentence on Thursday (March 1), having pleaded guilty last October to contaminating the treat at the Albuquerque Sunflower Market in January 2011.

The 32-year-old, who was branded "sickening and appalling" by prosecutors, admitted to placing some of his semen on a plastic spoon, dipping it in the yoghurt pot and handing it to a female customer.

According to The AP, the woman told police that she tasted the irregularity immediately.

She claimed that she spat on the floor several times and had to wipe her mouth on her clothes in order to get rid of the taste.

Garcia had been facing up to three years in prison.

Yes, because sentencing people for two years for spiking yoghurt with cum is really going to make me a 'stronger man'.

Two weeks, two months maybe, but two years just seems over the top. He didn't rape her. Pretty sure there's worse crimes in existence that need these sort of sentences, not this...

He'll probably be out in a year with good behaviour. I dont think its too harsh though, he wont be quick to do it again and its a clear warning for other sickos.
