Was You A Nintendo, Sega or Playstation Guy?

Back in the days of golden gaming, most had one comsole and stuck to it, until the next generation came out. Was you a fan of Nintendo (who had the NES, SNES, N64), Sega (which made the Master System, MegaDrive and Saturn) or Sony (who, at the time of the N64 and Saturn, only had PS)?

I started off with Nintendo(NES), then got Sega Genesis, then back to Nintendo 64.

Jake. 06-09-2012 10:58 AM

I have most of them in a box somewhere

Brother Leon 06-09-2012 10:59 AM

Nintendo. Then I bought the PS1 and never looked back.

I mean when i was a kid, that's order i had them. We had Sega Genesis instead of Super Nintendo. All of my friends had sega too. I didn't know anyone that had a super nintendo.

Then we got Nintendo 64, and played Mario Kart and Goldeneye all the time.

For me nothing will beat the era of Snes/MegaDrive :idc: the best rivalry in video gaming history, both had such fantastic games aswell.

lostalex 06-09-2012 11:02 AM

I'm assuming Megadrive is what they called Genesis in the UK.

LemonJam 06-09-2012 11:02 AM

I had a PS1 but then the N64 came into my life and everything changed  still play it to this day.

Yup

lostalex 06-09-2012 11:03 AM

Also i had a sega Game Gear, which was the sega version of Game Boy. When i was growing up Sega was way cooler than Nintendo.

But yea, then N64 came out, and totally destroyed Sega.

Jake. 06-09-2012 11:04 AM

My aunt had a Saturn and I used to love that  but it never got a following really, Sega ****ed it up with the Saturn and pissed off alot of video-game companies, meaning it didn't do well. The DreamCast was doing okish, but then the PS2 came along.

SoBig 06-09-2012 11:05 AM

I was a sega guy too. Had the Dreamcast and everything.

lostalex 06-09-2012 11:05 AM

PS2 totally destroyed gamecube. and also their brand games sucked. Super Mario Sunshine was horrible. Worst game in the Mario francise.

I have one of those somewhere lol. Got it a good few years back at a boot fair. But I grew up with my yellow brick Gameboy, and that was my childhood :loved: Mario Land 2/Pokemon > Life

It destroyed everything. XBox only sold a little more than the Gamecube (and I loved the Gamecube) whilst the Dreamcast just lost any form of momentum when the PS2 arrived. Shame, it was such an advanced and cool console.

:nono:

That was amazing imo. If you think that's the worst ever Mario game, may I point you in the direction of Super Mario Pinball?

Gawd, i remember back when there were still Blockbuster rental stores everywhere, and on Friday nights, my mom would let us rent 2 movies and 1 video game lol. That was always the rule. and of course my brother and I would argue about which game to get. and we'd bargain with each other, if you let me pick this week, you get to choose next week. Gawd, bringing back soooo many memories. lol i'm feeling all nostalgic now :(

Jake. 06-09-2012 11:12 AM

All of this is bringing back memories  I remeber going to my nan and grandads house in Weymouth, and she had a Megadrive and a box full of games. Anybody else ever play Talmits Adventure? (Marvel Land in the US)

Scarlett. 06-09-2012 11:13 AM

My brother recently rebought the Dreamcast :D

Jake. 06-09-2012 11:15 AM

I need to dig all of these out  I might be moving ina couple of months, will be the prefect oppportunity to find them all again

lostalex 06-09-2012 11:18 AM

Do you remember Little Nemo: Dreammaster for NES? that game was awesome.

Jake. 06-09-2012 11:20 AM

Yes! I have that one  I also have one called McDonalds kids or something, another Mario clone. The best game on the NES was Mario 3, platforming perfection
