Relationship dilemma...

..you acquired an STD from a previous partner for which you have been treated and the disease is cured...you are just about to be married to an amazing guy/lady..would you tell them about the STD..or would you keep it a secret as you no longer had it...?

Niamh. 08-11-2012 02:59 PM

hhhmmmm, keep it a secret most probably, the past is the past imo

Marcus. 08-11-2012 03:00 PM

tell them for me i have no talls

Legend killer 08-11-2012 03:02 PM

LOL that disease being kept under wrap not something you want to talk about over a Sunday lunch

Vicky. 08-11-2012 03:03 PM

I dont see why you would mention it if its not an issue anymore really. Unless you had left it too long to get treated and have some kind of complications because of it.

Roy Mars III 08-11-2012 03:04 PM

if it was gone, than I probably wouldn't mention it

But is there any need to discuss your past sex life? I don't think there is, I wouldn't want to know if it was the opposite way round

Legend killer 08-11-2012 03:08 PM

BB12 does your wife know your joint first of the gentlemen club??

But if there's no present problem and no way to spread something further, who exactly are you helping by telling her?

Exactly. Why would your partner even want to know that? I have no desire to picture my husband with someone else or to know if he ever had an std (unless it wasn't cured that is  )

Josy 08-11-2012 03:13 PM

If it's cured then I don't see the point in bringing it up.

Roy Mars III 08-11-2012 03:13 PM

If it came up in discussion somehow, I would tell her about it. But I wouldn't just tell her I had gonorrhea randomly on the way to the movies though.

It's all about good communication BB12 and what's right for each individual couple, me and my husband for example have never wanted to know about eachothers past sex life, not because we're hiding anything but because we just don't want or need to know about it.

no i would not

Livia 08-11-2012 03:25 PM

I would not tell. And the person who gave it to me would be dead, so it wouldn't be like they would be talking any time soon.
