Playing the game means playing you!
When forum members say that their chosen housemate is playing a great game I think they forget that the housemate is also playing them!
playing the game is about, doing and saying things that will keep you in the house. players fool the housemates and viewers into thinking they are someone they are not. players in the real world are people that come across as larger than life and a good person but in fact they are con artist's that have no problem in tricking people out their cash. |
I don't think it necessarily follows that good BB game players are the kind of people that scam people out of cash.
Maybe fm'ers just like people that are involved in the whole show, through conflict, drama, and memorable moments? |
If youre a gameplayer you should always keep the public in the know-how, not try to deceive them too.

Don't really agree with you Sherriff, as the viewer is privvy to a lot more information and conversations than HMs so is much more aware of who is game playing. Nobody is forced to vote and a lot of people don't even though they have a favourite, its just telly when all is said and done.

Any game players that let the public know, will turn into villains pretty quickly. |

all you have is an entertaining liar! |

Anton just stirred trouble, was again not a 'gameplayer' and stupidly thought people would like his villain antics. |

lying to everyone to get what he wants which is the money! that's why the other housemates where so p*ssed off at him. you are a fan of a liar, is that not true? |

I used Anton as he was the only recent example I could think of where a hm was actually attempting to play the game, and keeping us informed that he was doing so. There is still such a stigma across the casual bb viewers about being a so-called game player, that it would be impossible to do well if a hm was being open about it. |

You can look for sympathy, much like Dexter and Wolfy this year, you can get yourself in a showmance (or try to) and youre nominations can be more tactical but other than that the best gameplan to have is to remain fairly quiet and friendly all the way though if its a VTE series. Of course you can try to plant seeds and get people to turn on in each other but really I dont think weve seen anybody of this nature who has done this for 'gameplan' reasons instead of 'getting personal'. Id like to see BBUK do the American version, itd be so much fun. |

Life is a game.
Dexter is playing the only game he knows- he's a two faced, lying, devious con man, with no friends on the outside- tells you a lot about a person when they get to the age of 28 and they have no one to call a friend. He's well suited for being in the BB house, what I don't understand is the third eye, us! How the hell he's managing to convince the outsiders, how they give the benefit of doubt, time and time again. The guy, ( used loosely) is playing the game he's played all his life and it's so easy to see as a bystander what he's all about. He's actually not very good at it, the problem is there is no one strong enough or cares enough to stand up to him and rip him to pieces- power to Sam, who has seen right through him. |

I'm sure if anyone would have put £40k or around there, then they would have been evicted with the cash, but anything over £50k was an instant no-go. |
..maybe some people feel that he's not playing a game but there are also a lot that do so he's not really 'playing them' any more than any other housemate..Sam could be playing people into thinking he's less of a gameplayer and doing it to raise awareness..Charlie could be playing people in her 'innocence' of 'putting her foot in it' ..I think there all game players, it's just about which game you prefer/least object to...and part of all of their games is to try to get the public not to vote them out of they're nominated...
..I was an Aaron fan but I never thought for one moment he wasn't playing a game..I just thought he played a very good game and didn't offend people doing it and also created much entertainment..whether Dexter wins or not, he can't have played too bad a game because he's still there and reasonably popular..we'll just have to wait until the final to see how good and successful his game was... |
..oh I agree, I don't think anyone would think BB would really give so much of the prize money away to persuade someone to leave before the final and only leave a prize fund of less than £12,000...

we don't know if bb had more money as a back up plan. in bb 8 they never told the housemates liam's money was not part of the prize fund. |

you dont know that if dexter was not the lowest, they would of let someone walk with the whole 100 grand. bb can change the rules at any time. |
