Wow that's awful! poor kid, we always moan about the weather in Britain but I won't again after seeing how some have it atm.

the location of it would have been the danger.

I don't think it's carbon monoxide, I say it's Legionnaires disease.

Legionellosis is the collective name given to the pneumonia-like illness caused by legionella bacteria. Legionnaires’ disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia and everyone is susceptible to infection. However, some people are at higher risk, including:

people suffering from chronic respiratory or kidney disease
anyone with an impaired immune system
