A show official confirmed: "It's absolutely not true that Kate's being axed. She's a fantastic presenter. Her talent in running a major live show is unprecedented."

I really like Kate Thornton, she's funny, clear, outgoing, quick with the links and really shows support to the contestants!!

She's also put Simon Cowell in his place a few times!!

To be honest i expect Louis Walsh to deny reports because things like this usually are always denied.

She's nothing special really,hardly notice she's there most the time.A better link person could be found,but then I think the judges ego's demand that the link is pretty bland.

A replacement may do a better job, I don't really think she's a huge part of the show like the judges.

Thank God the show would be werid without her, shes like the face of the show like davina is of BB and Bruce is of SCD.
