The cretin calls Marc an "Irish ****** " Racist ? in my eyes is it

Jack_ 09-06-2015 03:31 PM

Irish isn't a race, so it would be xenophobic

It would be xenophobic though imo why bring where he comes from into it? Would it be ok to call Sam an Asian ****? it's the same difference

LukeB 09-06-2015 03:34 PM

Harry is an ignorant disgusting cretin :bored:

Liam- 09-06-2015 03:34 PM

It's not the point Liam, why use his nationality infront of the insulting word? It's like calling someone a black **** or an Indian ****, neither of those would be acceptable either. I don't like Marc or Harry but that's offensive

No I agree and always think it's out of order and a bit stupid when people prefix an insult with someone's nationality, was just pointing out that it's not racist that's all :p

LukeB 09-06-2015 03:39 PM

no one should ever use someone's nationality for an insult. That angers me the most, It's plain rude and Ignorant.

Nancy. 09-06-2015 03:39 PM

She's a moron who really should think before opening her gob.

and did anyone notice how she was getting irate with Nick when he put her in her place for contradicting herself? She didn't like that at all. Cretin.

I get that using someone's nationality as an insult is unacceptable, but in these situations, I personally don't see how calling him Irish is the offensive part, when the offensive (and rightly deserved part) was the '****'

I mean, i wouldn't get offended if someone called me a Welsh wanker, so maybe I'm just seeing it from my own personal prospective idk

Why not just call him a **** then? What was the purpose of prefixing it with where he comes from if not to try and use that as an insult against him, it makes the sentence sound like she's using that as an extra insult. If someone called a person a black **** on BB, would that be offensive do you think, even if he was actually a black person?
