I get that using someone's nationality as an insult is unacceptable, but in these situations, I personally don't see how calling him Irish is the offensive part, when the offensive (and rightly deserved part) was the '****'

What was the purpose of prefixing it with where he comes from if not to try and use that as an insult against him, it makes the sentence sound like she's using that as an extra insult. If someone called a person a black **** on BB, would that be offensive do you think, even if he was actually a black person?
