Daily Star reporting that CBB returns on 27th August - for FIVE weeks.

... and there's also an interview with Rylan.

Quote:

Both he and Emma Willis will be back on screens on Thursday, August 27 when the star-studded version of the show returns.

However, while Emma, 39, fronts the main show and only appears for the live launch and evictions, Rylan has got his work cut out.

He will be hosting spin-off Big Brother’s Bit On The Side every night during the show’s five-week run.

And he said he was clocking up the hours for fear TV chiefs might hire someone else on the days he is off and take over.

Rylan, 26, said: “I didn’t want to see anyone else doing it.

“I’m a bit nervous because it means no life whatsoever.”

“I didn’t want to see anyone else doing it”

The pair are such super fans of the Channel 5 show they cannot ever see leaving it.

Rylan has turned down offers of work on other projects so he can host Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother spinoffs every year.

Former X Factor contestant Rylan added: “I’ve been offered things I’d love to do but it wouldn’t work.”

It'll be ridiculous if the series goes on for five weeks.

Jason. 06-08-2015 11:26 PM

Well that's CBB16 added to the list of series I'm not going to watch then :idc:

Well January's series was four and a half, and I'm pretty sure it was reported that would be five weeks. That seemed to hold its ground pretty well (unless, like everyone, you quickly tired of Hopkins vs Perez every single episode), even if the viewing figures in the last week told a different story.

I assumed he was nearing 30 at least.

Jason. 06-08-2015 11:30 PM

Because CBB is supposed to be a spin-off show. The thought of CBB being half the duration of BB is awful.

Extending it from 3 weeks to 4 was enough. Any more and it's just a drag. It shouldn't be 5 weeks, even 4 weeks is cutting it on edge, TBH.

Am I the only one who feels this way? :worry:

Thing is if they report on 5 weeks, it'll actually go over that and be something like 40 days.. and that's just too long for CBB.

Welp, he's only like a year older than me. :worry:

Pete. 06-08-2015 11:32 PM

That must mean loads of celebs then?

Jason. 06-08-2015 11:32 PM

I found CBB15 to be quite long too, but maybe that's because it dragged towards the final week (the viewing figures confirm)

I think 27 days is enough for a CBB. But that would mean a mid-week final, so nty.

Wizard. 06-08-2015 11:32 PM

Lol at Rylan scared of someone coming for his job, like who would want to host that show apart from him anyway?

Jake. 06-08-2015 11:33 PM

gross

MB. 06-08-2015 11:34 PM

Of course, five weeks of Channel 5 summer CBB could be disastrous but on the other hand, five weeks of a good Channel 5 CBB (without the producers trying to revolve the show around two people. Good luck with that one), it could just be better than we're expecting. We'll see.

#4in4out every week?

Glenn. 06-08-2015 11:34 PM

is anyone even looking forward to this mess?

Jason. 06-08-2015 11:34 PM

I doubt they could get a decent line up of celebs to be free for five weeks. That would mean a bunch of TOWIE/MIC/GS who have nothing else to do.

I definitely agree! 3 weeks is plenty for me. 5 or 6 weeks of CBB is the equivalent of 13 weeks of BB and no thx.

Good lord. :joker:

I actually love you, though that may be my sense of humour :worry:

LukeB 06-08-2015 11:35 PM

oh lord

Oaker 06-08-2015 11:36 PM

I mean if it's a good series then I wouldn't mind it being 5 weeks, but if it's anything like CBB14 then no ty

I'm not TBH. But I've never said so, cause I don't want MB to shout at me :worry:

TBF, given the disastrous two years this show has had, I always expect the worst nowadays.

MB. 06-08-2015 11:36 PM

This, of course, is all gradually leading up to a 10-week long summer CBB for when the civilian series is finally put out of its misery.

No, I don't even know if I'm joking or not any more.
