Sudden twists, cover ups and other producer manipulations

Given how C5 have run things in past with cover ups and announcing twists to save favoured housemates (eg Marq last year having another week of immunity for no reason, housemates secretly leaving the house, and BB11 the weird episode that was just a "previously" recap and Jay Mackray's poo in freezer debacle), i thought I'd start a thread to consolidate all the notions or suspicions that the producers are blatently being extremly devious. There are the obvious manipulations like the houesmate connections but the producers have covered their @rses by making it part of tne show.

Why didn't the producers have Emma announce the "nominated" housemates would not actually be evicted (rather go next door) prior to the nominations?

Had Chelsea and Andy been up for eviction I am not sure the producers would have done this twist as they might not have fitted the " sexy young singletons" bb agenda.

Well, I don't believe Jason didn't know he ex would be in BB. Or vice versa.

That is at least one fix.

Agree, avout Charlie and Jason.

Well, the way he said I don't want my ex in the house was almost as if he was baiting the producers to put her in. They may still be a couple who pretend to split to get air time and ratings if not the win to boost both their careers, she's getting too old to be a lap dancer. They are talking about each other alot, building up each others character and storyline to their fellow housemate and us, the viewers, to make sure we are invested in their relationship. I smell a rat.

Its the worst thing about Big Brother these days... that and the fact each week nominations change from 3 with the most go up, anyone with a nomination goes up, anyone with 2 or more go up... they just change it depending on the results and people still pay to vote -_- . I remember back around BB15 someone posted an email they'd sent to C5, and the response refused to address the producers interfering and just said things are always pre-planned.

I mean when Toya got Power Housemate (clearly something the producers didn't want) she suddenly got screwed as it meant she was up... but Emma decided not to tell us this until well after she and Matthew won the power. Sorry for the long reply but its just the most infuriating thing about this show.

/sigh... Remember when just giving the house a cowboy hat would be enough to get a story going?

Let's give it a chance. The twist at the start is always a bit complex, and I don't think they'd have just switched it to a fake eviction at the eleventh hour.

One of the most blatant times producers hid the truth to me is when Perez wanted to walk so they turned it into a secret task.

If they did change it to a fake eviction last minute that thank god!! I always thought c5 evictions were too early.

I found the Hms reaction to the first task odd, why would they not question why BB announced Laura to be nominated just because she stood behind the word sexy.
