Is social media out of touch

Take 3 case scenarios on this series. Natalie, Charlie and Ryan.

If the rolls were reversed and

1. Natyalie was a man and went around attacking and talking over people and physically hitting people, would that man be as popular as Natalie is now on the outside, or would he be in court.

2. Ryan was straight and muff dived a female on live tv then asked her to smell it, would that be just great tv like we are all asked to accept on social media or would he be branded disgusting instead of being a drama queen.

3. If Charlie was a man and pestered and created with Jason in a roll reversal scenario, wouldn't he be branded as a criminal pest and dealt with accordingly.

My point is that whilst BB perceive to be PC, they are in fact leaning the other way and have been hoodwinked into pandering to the needs of the select few that rule the social media sites, all in the quest to save their programme. Sad thing is that the pandering has drawn a very select and small audience demographic as well as the die hard fans, when if they played it straight and used the same brush to tar all offenders, the larger demographic would return and live comfortably beside the die hard fans and all we would loose would be the socially inept and the pc brigade that are ruining every show on tv with constant complaints and issues that scare producers to death.

Ifs and buts bore the living **** out of me.

I do think the Charlie/Jason thing is unfair,if the roles were reversed he would have had a warning by now.

Are you trying to say males and females are the exact same in every single sense. Cus otherwise youre complaining about nothing.

Double standards...people always notice it if its a girl getting **** (for example, girl tends to be blamed for cheating regardless of which is in the relationship) but it works the other way too and it is ignored.

Yes, if roles were reversed and it was Jason going on like Charlie is there would have been calls for ejection weeks ago.

I noticed too nothing was said about Sams 'bum buddies' comment either. Yes I know Sam is gay, but he said it with quite a bit of vitriol and if it had been someo0ne else they would definitely have got a warning for it, especially as Ryan took it badly

there should never be one rule for one and another rule for another. isn't that equality.

Someone missed biology at school. What I am saying and it seems to be pretty evident to all, is that social media is shaping the way we view things and judging by your point of view, we sit on different sides of the fence so we obviously have different points of view.

Not at all, your argument is just another reason for you to whine about nothing. Youve dumbed moments down, switch the genders and found a reason to be offended. Its stupid. Your point in stupid.

"Yh but what if Ryan was straight" why is that at all relevant ever. Hes not. He didnt. He wouldn't.

Yes the context would change and social media has nothing to do with that. Theres nothing sinister about one gay drunk man making another gay drunk man laugh. Hypothetically changing the genders is just dumb.

Being offended isn't about changing a few things that happened until its offensive, its the perception of the victim, more so than the viewers. If Hughie looked offended, nobody would be supporting Ryan. If Ryan was straight, did it to the girl who also laughed hysterically, nobody would be offended. This 'what if' logic you thrash about is stupid, its just changing the scenario until its offensive and thats stupid. Just watch the ****ing show or don't

It doesn't come on a bigger plate then the one offered up by Laura yet Marco was wrongly given a warning for harassment ...Charlie needs a restraining order she is so bad yet BB have said nothing to her about her conduct. So yes, different rules for men and women.

hot2go 03-07-2016 02:46 PM

When Hughie shouts he always gets called into the diary room yet when Natalie did the same she didn't.

hot2go 03-07-2016 02:50 PM

When Marco was wrongly accused of harassment Michelle Heaton said on BOTS that he was abusing her by forcing himself on her.
When Charlie was accused of harassment Michelle Heaton said that Jason is abusing her and that Charlie is a misunderstood victim.

Def diff rule for men and women.

Heaton is the definition of a man hater though tbf, its always a bloke to blame for everything

1. Natalie was hated and evicted at first opportunity so not sure why you think she is loved by social media, she only has a small core group of fans on here.

2. Pretty much everyone on here has commented on how disgusting it was for Ryan to rub it in Hughie's face like that and ask him to smell it

3. Again, Charlie generally is not very liked anyway, and Jason is one of the favourites to win. Her only real core group of fans is a small number of people on here.

Even those who don't like her though tend to have sympathy for her. If it was a bloke repeatedly going on that way with a woman..they would be hated completely and no sympathy given :p

Michelle Heaton is a feminazi anything she says doesn't surprise me.
