Well hon I hate to break it to you but you wouldn't be if Ann had her way! Her argument literally made no sense. I get she's friends with Ann but that doesn't mean she can't challenge her views.

...that’s what Shane was trying to convey, that Wayne and Amanda’s life/the impact on their lives and the freedom of their lives etc would not have been as they are had the legislation not been passed that Ann had actively opposed so much...sadly though, his frustrations in allowing some stuff under his skin meant he didn’t act that great either in trying to ‘set others against Ann’...so it all unfortunately became lost...
