Tonight's debate...

Would you consider arranging a prostitute for your son on his 16th 18th or 21st birthday?

Kate! 19-06-2019 04:27 PM

Not in a million years.

parmnion 19-06-2019 04:29 PM

Not even if he asked for one? ..on his 21st.

My lad would never ask for such a thing. But no not even if he asked.

Ammi 19-06-2019 04:31 PM

...no that’s not something I would ever consider for my children or anyone else’s children...

parmnion 19-06-2019 04:32 PM

That's a bit heartless if you don't mind me saying..it is his 21st after all.

...okey doke..I’m very happy to be heartless.....

Cherie 19-06-2019 04:47 PM

No at 21 I think he would be well able to source one himself if he saw the need, why would I need to be arranging that, I don't arrange his social life after all

AnnieK 19-06-2019 04:49 PM

Nope....never....no way.

I'm happy to be heartless too.

If he was of an age where he did it himself (when I say of an age I mean 50), thats up to him

It wouldn't cost him anything...

It's a gift...if he just wandered up to you with the number??

Would you, if that's what he wanted.

Livia 19-06-2019 04:49 PM

I agree with Cherie. If I had a 21 year old son who needed his mother to get him laid, maybe sex isn't for him.

Would you pay for it on his 50th?

Isn't it a parents duty to ensure your offspring experience all joys of life?:wavey:

bitontheslide 19-06-2019 04:53 PM

No! I'm pretty sure it's not at all a parent's duty.

(Thanks, been away for work, got delayed... nightmare).

Ammi 19-06-2019 04:56 PM

...I’m curious to why that question only regarding sons as well...no daughters..?...

It's not a parents duty to deny ones dreams on such an important occasion either....

He could have asked for a car:shrug:

Thought this thread was about the leadership debates at first

I admit, I was going to word it as a prostitute of the kids choice...but saying kids and prostitutes in my head freaked me out so in lost my train of thought....

I'm assuming that nobody would get thier daughter such a gift now you have pointed it out...so imo...the debate only works this way round.

I wouldn't buy him a prostitute, neither would I arrange his stag night... there are just some things that parents should step away from. Makes me feel strange to think about my parents thinking about me having sex. It's just... wrong.

I'd rather buy him a car.

...why though..I mean why does it ‘work’ for a son ...I have two sons and for me there would be the exact same assumption..that no parent would do that for a son or daughter...

:joker:

You do realise everytime he gets into that car he's going to abuse it senseless...then feel all sad when he gets out...think costs liv.

That's a different debate..sorry..I see your point and people are free to say they wouldn't buy thier daughter a male prostitute but in my head the debate I started only works this way round....That's probably just down to tibb and it's demographic. ..but I know I should include both sees for a fairer and more open debate..

On the oher hand...there will be many parents who will do that for thier son...not daughter though..perhaps a better debate....

But there will be plenty dad's who would buy thier son a prostitute for his birthday.
