Politics and religion can make for lively debates, as long as the attendees know how to conduct themselves and don't just screech insults or go on self-aggrandising rants.
Bad dinner table discussions are disimpaction and vivisection #yumyum |

We all watch Come Dine with me and dream LT :hmph:
I actually hate cooking for friends and actively avoid it, but when I have had the occasional dinner party politics and definitely Brexit are to be avoided Mr C was slagging off Brexiteers on a recent trip to Spain when we ran into our neighbours and it was clear from the looks on their faces they had voted out so I had to intervene as he wasn't picking up the signals  |
Brexit would be the worst topic would think, the old religion and politics cliche does not work as literally no one is religious anymore and as such would not care.
|
Brexit is boring af now
|
At present, politics inc brexit.
Any dinner functions I go to, whether smaller dinner group or a bigger function. I'd avoid politics. I've never seen a divide as bad as there is now. I admit I'm less tolerant myself too. Positions now just seem to keep hardening. |
Nothing is taboo at my dinner parties.
Apart from me being nosey about my kids relationships of course  |
This meal tastes funny/disgusting. Who made it?
