What misconceptions of adulthood did you have as a child?
i would say my biggest misconception of adulthood was i thought it would be straight forward , it isnt

That you would one day "feel" like an adult. By that I mean your brain would click into place (maybe on your 21st birthday) and you suddenly know how to navigate the world.

That it'd be as easy as childhood - **** ain't easy
You can honestly get away with slacking a lot & being totally carefree as a child/teenager and still do well for yourself with classes, whatever little you have to do for responsibilities etc. at home, and friendships/relationships etc. etc. but as an adult if you don't push yourself in any areas you're kinda screwed. :joker: |
