i have no idea who she is apart from something about fat shaming a cafe?
obviously, she is a woman and she cannot change facts |

I only heard about her during that fat shaming thing though. It was Ice Cream apparently, she claimed the store fat shamed her by selling 'diet' products. |

Everyone in this thread: She |
I’ll never understand how or why people take issue with stuff like this
Like it doesn’t affect you in any way? :skull: touch grass |

To be fair, some do it point fly but for some it’s just a lot to expect everyone to instantly remember a change. |

I always think of prince in a scenario like this. One day he decided that he should be referred to as symbol, but the simple fact is, it's just not something you can change over night, if at all. One could argue that you are never described as you would choose yourself, because your own perception of who/what you are just doesnt match with whatever anyone else think of you
|
This is nice and everything but Demi does have a bit of a history of doing stupid attention-seeking things, so I understand why some would be sceptical / just writing this off as a trend/fad.
It's unfortunate that the two biggest profile NBs are Demi and Sam Smith because the public perception of both is... pretty bad. Not that that excuses the willful trolling in here. |

But nah, she "came out" so |

The unfortunate reality is that when anything starts to become more mainstream, there are some people who will join the “trend” just to be part of the scene. I know that’s a taboo line of thought because it can lead to doubting people who are genuine but well... it simply is the case. My daughter came out as gay about a year ago, no one else in her social circle was, she was obviously nervous about telling people but decided to do so. She has a girlfriend who is also quite obviously genuinely gay. The kids were all, surprisingly for me (as it would NOT have been like this when I was at school) totally unphased by this and she’s really encountered zero negativity... ...the strange part is that the rest of the girls in the class started pairing off :joker:. There’s 14 girls in the class and there are now only FOUR of them who are not in a same-sex couple :joker:. It’s all harmless of course and I’m sure there are a couple of others who may well be gay or bi, but we’ve had to explain to her that it’s unlikely that 80% of the girls in her class are actually gay! |

When prince decided he wanted to be known as a "squiggle" everyone ignored that and called him Prince and they still do |
