She was in some Disney stuff as a kid, now i think she's a model/singer.

I only heard about her during that fat shaming thing though. It was Ice Cream apparently, she claimed the store fat shamed her by selling 'diet' products.

To be fair, some do it point fly but for some it’s just a lot to expect everyone to instantly remember a change.

Also people see Demi and automatically still think "she" & "her" that's just a fact , but also what people need to remember is not all of them mind if you still refer to them as that as it's more fluid.

I always think of prince in a scenario like this. One day he decided that he should be referred to as symbol, but the simple fact is, it's just not something you can change over night, if at all. One could argue that you are never described as you would choose yourself, because your own perception of who/what you are just doesnt match with whatever anyone else think of you

People type a stream of consciousness and the word that comes out comes out. You could argue that people should take the time to proof-read their posts and make sure to change things like a pronoun (however, realistically most people don’t double check a forum post before they hit send) but it’s a lot to expect that people are in tight control of conversational language. It takes time. It’s like if a friend you’ve known for years by a nickname declares that they hate it - of course you stop consciously using it, but occasionally it’s going to slip out.

I did also say that obviously some people do it pointedly and by all means call that out. But a policy of blanket anger and disappointment at “incorrect pronouns” is really not the way.

This is nice and everything but Demi does have a bit of a history of doing stupid attention-seeking things, so I understand why some would be sceptical / just writing this off as a trend/fad.

It's unfortunate that the two biggest profile NBs are Demi and Sam Smith because the public perception of both is... pretty bad. Not that that excuses the willful trolling in here.
