For simplicity, yes.

Easier than putting a potato in microwave/oven

it is a potato

MTVN 10-07-2021 06:15 PM

The picture is not exactly selling it to me

Babayaro. 10-07-2021 06:22 PM

jalapenos on a baked potato would be a game changer

need to try

Niamh. 10-07-2021 06:22 PM

Not a fan of cottage cheese, melted cheddar in a baked potato though yummy, no frozen spuds though, you need to bake it yourself

As much of a game changer as Cottage Cheese in a Lasagne?

Smithy 10-07-2021 06:49 PM

Girl just buy a potato and put it in the oven? Why do you need to buy a frozen one?

We used to make them at work.

Potatoes are best twice-cooked which is why the microwave ones are always nice and soft. But if you want it the “proper” way, you could bake it yourself in the oven for an the day before, let it cool, stick it in the fridge, then cook it again when you actually want it. Will be softer and fluffier than baking once from raw.

I actually think the microwave ones in a box are fine, though :umm2:… and not even much more expensive than a plain ol spud.

Yes, but not like a proper one you stick in the microwave or oven.

An actual raw spud.

hijaxers 10-07-2021 07:55 PM

I've always found that the awful frozen jacket spuds are inedible.

smudgie 10-07-2021 08:21 PM

Just no.
If you are going to eat a jacket spud then pop it in the micro until just soft, then in the oven until crispy.
I would rather walk on coals than eat a jacket spud.

Josy 11-07-2021 01:57 AM

Just make a proper baked tattie

Ammi 11-07-2021 05:43 AM

…so you just pop it into a microwave like you would with any potato …?…but with the addition of unnecessary packaging to unwrap first and maybe even plastic traces etc…should I sue…?….
