But more seriously - there's a lot of "new housing" in the village that was - absolutely stupidly - build on farmland that was already prone to flooding and when they were building "older" locals tried to stop it, saying that in the past those fields used to basically turn into a lake every 5 years or so. Lo and behold - 20 years down the line - they have huge drainage issues on those streets, and if we get any significant flooding here they're ****ed. |
