….I know that we’ve had this before but, why not….

…I was just listening to a ‘life advice’ speech vid by Matthew McConaughey that someone sent me, he’s a pretty inspirational guy……do you have any favourite ‘life quote’ type philosophy things that you feel inspired by…?….

Nice try ... it’s a tad simpler.

It’s a term for someone who’s bow legged

People won't always tell you who they are, but sooner or later they'll show you.

"Whit's fur ye'll no go by ye"

Used ALL THE TIME by old gamblers trying to make themselves feel better about a loss. It essentially means, if you're "meant" to have something, it'll happen... like Baby Jesus or The Universe makes sure it all goes to plan or something. It normally goes like this:

*lose £200*

"Noooo!! **** sake!! Away tae ****!! Load of absolute PISH!!! ... :bawling: .... :bawling: :bawling: ..... .... .sniffle... .... ...... ahh well..... whit's fur ye'll no go by ye..."

I don't believe in fate and all that nonsense myself but it's a phrase that always made me chuckle.

I always thought this one was pretty spot on :

Or as normal people say "What's for you won't go by you" that's a favourite of my mothers along with "A dumb Priest never gets a Parish" (how Irish catholic is that one)
