Mother who burned her eight-year-old son alive because he told his stepfather
she had cheated on him is jailed for 15 years in Russia

it's 15 years in a russian prison, which is a different kettle of fish. Also, if she survives the 15 years, which is highly doubtful, the time can be extended on a whim..
