Headteacher Bans Toilet Trips in Lessons
|
Maybe the kids "should have" gone during break, but it's not always that simple  if he's going to keep this up, pupils who need to go should use his office, or go against his door.

Wrong.
While yes it's correct to stamp out unnecessary visits if possible. There can be reasons why it cannot and should not be that anyone has to sit uncomfortably if genuinely needing the toilet. If I was pretty desperate to need the toilet, it would be both painful and dangerous to have to wait 30 minutes or more before I could go. |

Joey if you must go they can. Go before the lesson starts, if you can. But not loads of them, having a group meeting in the bogs |

They have done this at my son's school too. We had a letter home to say that permission will only be given in exceptional circumstances and then they have to get permission from the class teacher and go the office to get a key. They had a big problem of kids skipping lessons in the bathrooms and this has put a stop to it.

We can never go back to the old days as whoever administered the punishments would find their cars wrecked and their houses targeted .. the world has changed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
My daughter's been told that if she needs to leave for the toilet and they say no, she's to leave anyway and instruct them to call me if there's an issue.
I hope every day for that call :joker:. |

Its the one time I ever lost my **** with his teacher and said he would NEVER ask again and would just go and said I would take it to the Head and Governors if it happened again. It was a nightmare though because he would avoid drinking so he didn't need to go again. Even now he says he has used the bathrooms at school a handful of times since that day, it traumatised him that much. |
Kids have way too much say these days.

Yeah verbal abuse and personal comments are common place nowadays.. we have just bright in a new rule that if a pupil says the F word at a member of staff they get excluded for a day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
A friend of mine is a teaching assistant in a local high school and she said you wouldn't believe the kids' behaviour now. Chairs being thrown, students "squaring up" to staff (16 year olds who aren't small), swearing and calling the teacher expletives etc.
The most shocking thing is she said every classroom there has a kind of panic button installed for the teacher to press if it starts getting serious and two MALE members of staff must be free at any given time to attend when needed... Like wtf? Full-time teacher/part-time bouncer it seems. :skull: |
