A strange experience in the barbers
There I was just coming to the end of my haircut when a bloke comes in and says - 'hey Frank remember me!? Jason's lad' and they say a quick hello which is fine. But then the conversation went like this:
'You hear I'm having a kid now Frank?' 'Bloody hell! And is that a good thing?' 'Well yeah it's good it's just with the wrong woman' 'Are you still with her?' 'Yeah but she's the wrong one. I have so many reasons to leave her. I want to get back with my ex' 'But that ships sailed has it?' 'Nah I don't think so' Then before I know what has happened he has plonked himself down in the barber chair next to me and instead of finishing my haircut my barber is giving life advice to this lad telling him he can't just stay with the girl because of the child and if he's not happy then it's better to break up now then just stay with her for the sake of it. This goes on and on and eventually he finishes off my haircut but all while playing therapist to this young guy which made me late to return to work. Now two things occured to me: 1. How brazen of him to air his dirty laundry like that in a barbers shop full of strangers. Also how inappropriate to be talking about the mother of his child like that while still being with her :puzzled: 2. Was this good advice from Frank? Should the fella not give it a chance for the sake of the child and stop pining after his ex which would no doubt end in tears? I get the logic of leaving but maybe the guy should suck it up and take some accountability. Anyway I even got dragged into this with the guy asking me for my opinion but I said I'd leave the advice to Frank and simply wished him luck |
Yes very brazen and indiscreet.

You are all ignoring the point of the story which is Jason's lad and his troubled love life :oh:
|
For £30 id expect a trim and a happy ending from a nice bit of brass
:oh: |
Sadly it is indicative of alot of young men these days, they don't seem to care one jot about bringing a child into the world, only to up sticks when the going gets tough and off they go leaving the woman behind to deal with the fall out, they then become 'single' Mums who everyone likes to tread on because they are single and nobody points the finger at the carefree Dad who has just buggered off and in most cases does not support their offspring but expects someone else to pick up the tab
|
30.00 though, hope you got a hot towel and a nose and ear hair trim thrown in

1) I would love that, piping hot tea with a haircut?? Yes please.
2) No, he shouldn't try to stick it out for the kid. It will leave him miserable, it's unfair on her to waste her time when she could be finding someone who actually wants to be there, and the kid will not turn out better for it either. "Sticking together for the kids!" never, ever works out well, for anyone involved. He should, of course, stick around as a full and committed co-parent to the kid, both financially and emotionally. |

Some of the blame definitely lies with the girl
Sounds like they only been together a short time and already having a child with a waster |
