the guy deffo on the first date. Once a guy asked me out, and then argued that I should pay half, when I hadn't wanted to go in the first place and had had an awful time. I walked out, and he hounded me for a week. I'd only eaten salad and a glass of wine, what an absolute moron!

Perhaps the reason why I'm single is because I think you should split it...

Id probably pay knowing me haha, me and my mate were talking about this the other day, we were saying how id be the one buying all the special gifts etc.. haha its so true.

it really depends on how well you know the person. If it's someone I meet out or whatever, they must pay. If it's one of my friends or a friend of a friend who I've known for a while but we've just started liking eachother, I'll happily pay half. I also think it depends on who asks who. If a guy asks me out and I'm poor, I'll still accept but I wouldn't have asked them, because I'd know that I didn't have the money at the time, if that makes sense

I always paid for a first date.
And I still pay most of the time when I go out dinner with my girlfriend, unless it's my birthday. I like offering her things, it makes me happy.
