Davina McCall’s in on village fete
 

Big Brother presenter Davina McCall will be officially opening the Hawthorns School summer fete and dog show next month.

The theme of the fete is Around the World in 80 Days' and the Woldingham resident, famous for her please do not swear' catchphrase, will start proceedings at 11am on what is sure to be an action-packed day.

The major attractions include Chattanooga Choo Choo, Human Table Football, bungee running, a balloon race as well as old favourites such as wet sponges, coconut shy, splat the rat and a fancy dress competition.

The fete takes place at the school on Pendall Road, Bletchingly on Saturday May 7 and will go on till 4pm.

The Hawthorns School in Bletchingley added a touch of glamour to its school fete on Saturday by inviting Big Brother presenter Davina McCall to officially open the event.

The Woldingham resident enjoyed signing autographs and posing for photos, before making the most of the fete's attractions for the duration of the day.
