Last point I stand by - Brexit was an expression of English nationalism, as much as independence was an expression of Scottish nationalism. The two were linked and one followed on from the other (different results in the referendums obviously).

"An expression of English Nationalism" is exactly the right phrasing and also the most worrying of phrasings. I think it's a completely different situation because we're not looking for independence as a nation because we already had/have that, which has been laid out quite clearly in all of the brexit papers. I know people like to say that we're being dictated to by brussels but that doesn't make it true.
