That's not quite what I said though:
A conversation begins when someone responds to me, you can't have one on your own. If people start a civilised discussion (like Withano did) then I'll happily engage in a civilised manner (believe it or not I prefer that most of the time), if others want to patronise, bait or be passive aggressive then that's when I'll do the same back and respond in kind. But a conversation doesn't start until someone's quoted me! People don't have to, everyone on here should know what I'm about by now, what my thought processes are and what arguments I stand by, they're consistent and have been for almost a decade. Some people want to engage and that's cool, others just let me do me and that's fine as well  in all honestly I reckon 80% of the time it's others who quote me rather than me quoting them (i.e. starting up a conversation), I tend to just do my own thing these days

Well fair enough but if you're going to go into the thread and make a general comment, aimed at no one but everyone aswell you're going to get peoples backs up instantly so it's your fault for setting that tone. What you're saying is you should be able to mock people in a general way but they should then quote you respectfully if they expect you to be respectful back.
