Even without the issue concerning Borders, the economy in Ireland is simply linked to the UK economy in more ways than any other EU country. Of course its nothing like as bad as it will be for the UK itself, but the hit is inevitable more than it is for most, and while I believe the EU would try to mitigate many of those things, it would still be felt. Realistically, the Irish government wants to avoid no deal if at all possible.
