Yes, as long as its not hindering their constituency work it can give them more insight into the working world and expand their knowledge/experience and keep them in touch of what's happening beyond the Westminster bubble
Every MP who's in the cabinet basically has a 'second job' on top of normal MP responsibilities so it's fine for those who aren't ministers
