I've noticed in general though that not many delivery drivers leave cards anymore, they seem to rather leave it on the doorstep if you're not in or with a neighbour.

DPD phone you and ask what to do with it if you're not there. I usually get stuff delivered to work as there's no one at home usually during the day. The last time they were delivering something it was before 9am and no one was in work yet so the driver rang me and I told him to leave it with the company next door. (I sound like a DPD Sales rep now
)
