Sue Perkins has done similar jobs and I didn't appreciate her jokes but I didn't want her physically attacked for telling a joke I personally didn't like.
The audience was laughing, including Will Smith, at Chris Rocks act so they seemed satisfied with the jokes he told.
Telling jokes is a legal activity and until the day comes that it's not then Chris Rock did nothing wrong.
If you don't like jokes then change the law and make telling jokes a crime.
