Also arent all the episodes in the same universe, and thats why there are all these Easter eggs with references to other episodes? If the apocalypse was real then how would that fit into the universe.
The only argument I see for it being real is the demon telling her the future, how did she know the first guy she murdered had a little girl? could have been a good guess or some unconscious knowledge from living in a small town.

hhhmmm I took it at face value, could be an alternate reality. Could be as it was the final episode that she altered time and stopped all the other future episode events from happening
