It's all desk based stuff though so it can be boring when you aren't kept busy, I find it goes from full on deadline pressure to thumb twiddling quite rapidly. I don't complain though, as long as nobody snitches on me for looking at my phone when it's quiet... haha.

That's why you negotiate for a hybrid office and spend the quiet days "working" from home

. People will argue that you won't progress because you're not working to the bone every day but it's simply not true, any half decent organisation is going to judge you on the quality of your work not flat "work hours spent". You can't apply the mindset of manual labour to a modern office-based role.
