English fans are still seen as some prize scalp by a lot of European ultras/hooligans because of our reputation in the 80s and 90s. They think it'd be major bragging rights if they can 'take down the English' when in reality there's hardly any English fans who are interested in violence these days. Especially not the violence used by a lot of European fans where it's all weapons and masks etc. we've just got a few pissed up fat lads swinging punches
