I watched the first Final Destination a few days ago, and I really enjoyed it.

Well, all I'll say is that I definitely didn't like it nearly as much as my friend.
But sometimes you've got to pull your punches a bit when it's someone you care about, caring about something so deeply, etc.
On the other hand, all the Final Destination movies are fun in their own way. IIRC, the third movie is a fan favourite on account of all the black comedy in it. Growing up with the series, my personal favourite was the first movie and how seriously it took its premise. I'll have to rewatch them again at some point. So that could change. I think the second movie is usually held up as the series' pinnacle.
