Aside from all of that, he also said the city was on the decline because loads of the shops were closed.
I visited Coventry for work recently, and if he bothered to do any kind of reading about where he was going like I did, he would know all those shops are vacant because they're being bulldozed due to a £450 million redevelopment, not because the city is on the decline.

Correct, he thought that he was hitting the jackpot when he made that comment.
And people like him just love to bash the Midlands, it's sad really.
