Avon and Somerset Police admitted at the time of the article that it had “much more work to do” after it declared itself “institutionally racist” the previous year.
Figures for the first five months of 2024 show black people were still six times more likely to be the subject of stop and search than white people in the Avon and Somerset area.
The force has published a report into its anti-racism strategy a year after evidence found a difference in the way it interacted with people from different ethnic and racial backgrounds.
…but yeah, it’s probably straying off into non BB/housemate territory but as a generalisation, it’s so great to see a young person such as Teja…not only showing great engagement in social issues but also engaging in discussing her views also…
