I am 100% open to dialogue and understanding, but that ofc relies on both parties to come into it with honesty and good faith, which is something that the grievance culture of the 'left' will never do.

I am a white guy and I live in a very diverse neighbourhood in Bristol and can honestly say that I have received way more racism than I have ever seen towards others

…I mean, I can’t really give any personal experiences of Bristol or the policing there, I found the article and vid both interesting and with the very small conversation that Teja and George have had in the house so far…?….I’m feeling that maybe Teja was approached to take part because she does seem very reasoned/balanced in her perspective…and that’s always a perfect opening for looking at (local) issues etc …I recall back in the day, we used to have much community policing and obviously that’s been cut back in every area as well so with that…?…issues just grow and grow and grow, sadly….

…anyway, the article was interesting in its own right because the mentioned police force had proclaimed themselves to have specific issues and failings …


Avon and Somerset Police admitted at the time of the article that it had “much more work to do” after it declared itself “institutionally racist” the previous year.
Figures for the first five months of 2024 show black people were still six times more likely to be the subject of stop and search than white people in the Avon and Somerset area.
The force has published a report into its anti-racism strategy a year after evidence found a difference in the way it interacted with people from different ethnic and racial backgrounds.

…but yeah, it’s probably straying off into non BB/housemate territory but as a generalisation, it’s so great to see a young person such as Teja…not only showing great engagement in social issues but also engaging in discussing her views…
