But don't forget about show costs, those have to be covered by advertisement fees so it doesn't automatically mean greater profit. So C4 could have a show that gets 2m viewers, costs £100,000 per hour but gets £500,000 in advertising fees, thats a profit of £400,000, compared to a show that gets 3m viewers, costs £400,000 per hour and gets £600,000 in advertising fees, but thats only £200,000 profit. They'd go for the show with 2m viewers.
