People would not have been watching if they didn't think anything was going to happen. People were watching waiting for something to happen. Whilst its good that noone is harmed, I think most people are disappointed they didn't see anything at all whether or not they admit it. Its kind of like when you slow down on a motorway when theres a crash on the other side, and can't wait to tell someone about it. You don't consider for a second about the people involved in the crash ...
Anyway I don't think its getting any stricter, I just think there have been more moronic events lately than usual
